Shenyang adds more international flights

China Southern Airlines will operate two new routes linking Guangzhou in Guangdong province to Toronto in Canada, and Adelaide in Australia, according to an announcement at a promotional event held in Shenyang on Oct 21.

According to the new schedule, the Guangzhou-Toronto route, which is the second direct route to Canada for the airline, will commence on Dec 7.

The flight will operate as CZ311/312 using a Boeing 777-300ER for the route. The service will run every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Guangzhou, taking around 15 hours for a single journey.

Meanwhile, the first direct route to Adelaide, capital city of South Australia, will commence operations on Dec 12.

The flight, operating as CZ663/664, will be serviced by an Airbus A330-200 every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and is scheduled to leave Guangzhou at 22:00, arriving in Adelaide 9 hours later.

For the convenience of Shenyang’s residents who want to travel to Toronto or Adelaide, China Southern Airlines will offer a fast-track service for flight transfers to the new international routes.

The service enables passengers to acquire all their boarding passes and baggage tags at Shenyang Airport without having to do it again in Guangzhou. The transfer time of the two international flights is between 2 to 2.5 hours.

In addition, the airline will also launch preferential measures targeting passengers in Shenyang who choose other ways to transit. Passengers will be eligible for free accommodation services and travel services if their flight does not depart between 8 hours and 48 hours.

To satisfy customer demand, another five flights linking Shenyang to Guangzhou will also be operated each day, according to the announcement at the promotional event.
