Imperial treasures on display in Shenyang

An exhibition themed on ancient imperial treasures opened in Shenyang on July 8, with nearly 100 national cultural relics making their debut in the once-splendid capital city of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The exhibited items are divided into four categories including Buddha statues, jade and porcelain. The highlights of the exhibition are the four bronze statues of animal heads from the Summer Palace. The bronze statues contain the heads of cows, tigers, monkeys and pigs.

All the items on display are cultural relics that were collected by imperial families from the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties (1271-1911), representing the cultural and artistic characteristics of the three ancient dynasties.

The exhibition site, located on the 45th floor of Shengjing Poly Culture Center, offers free entry to Shenyang residents.
