Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium reputed for details
Many praise the newly-built Olympic football venue in Shenyang for its turf, lighting system, chairs and VIP lounge.<p>The grass on the turf is a variety which grows in cold climates, so it suits the rigorous winter in Shenyang, a city in Northeast China.</p><p>To ensure sufficient indoor light, the stadium's roof has been covered with sunlight panels and glasses, thus extending the turf's maintenance cycle.</p><p>During the recent 2007 International Women's Football Tournament, rainfall did not cause any inconvenience to spectators as the roof was totally deployed.</p><p>Another spectator-friendly facility is the large display screens at the two stands, which measure 192 square meters each.</p><p>The design of the VIP lounge puts privacy and comfort first. The VIPs can use the 12 chairs outside the lounge to watch the competitions and have meetings behind the glass screen. The lounge also has a restroom.</p><p>One of the four football venues in the co-host cities, the Shenyang stadium will host 12 football preliminaries during the 2008 Olympic Games.
