Shenyang to Hold International Seed Expo in September
<p>China will hold its first international seed expo in Shengyang in the northeast Liaoning Province this September, according to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).</p><p>To be held on September 10 to 12, the expo aims for better international exchange in the seed industry, said Wan Baorui, chief of the CCPIT-specialized sub-council of agriculture, the expo organizer.</p><p>About 500 domestic and foreign seed enterprises are expected to exhibit seeds and seedlings. These include cereal crops, cotton and vegetables,related technology and machinery, as well as agro-chemicals, Wan told a press conference here on Tuesday.</p><p>The expo also features an industry summit and a series of seminars and conferences, he said.</p><p>China has the world's second largest seed market, behind only the United States, according to Ministry of Agriculture.</p>
