Recently, a brand-new IC card& QR code reader been installed on some tram vehicles of Hunnan ModernTramway, makes it the second major public transport system that using “pay-by-mobile”technology.
Last year, Alipay sponsored mobile payment devices been introduced totwo bus routes of the city, which is No. 222 and 258, crowned Shenyang as theonly city that formally connected to Aliyun’s mobile payment platform inNortheastern Area.
It is believed that in this new year of 2018, mobile payment system willbe introduced to all major public transportation carriers of the city thatincludes Metro, Tramway, Bus and Taxi, as part of Shenyang’s strategy offorging smart and innovation city.
