Historically known as Mudken and dating back more than 2,000 years, Shenyang is the largest city in northeastern China and is the capital of Liaoning Province. Le Méridien Shenyang, Heping is located in Taiyuanjie, the traditional downtown of Shenyang, at the crossing of Nanning North Street and North Second Road. A plethora of wonderful shopping, dining, and entertainment options is just steps away. Both the Metro and Shenyang Train Station are within easy walking distance from the hotel, and Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE) can be reached by car in 20 minutes.
At the Shenyang Imperial Palace, 114 formidable buildings have been structured to resemble the Forbidden City. Initially constructed in 1625, the culturally-enriching complex is just 10 minutes away by car. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as are the Qing Dynasty’s imperial tombs Fuling and Zhaoling. Featuring more than 1,700 plants, the peaceful Shenyang Botanical Garden hosts numerous flower shows each year. Mount Qipanshan Scenic Spot is also lovely and tranquil. |
