Travelers can get train by a card
like that of metro lines in future
as ticket sales system in Shenyang North Railway Station will introduce scanning machines in mid-July to gradually obsolete traditional ticket sale service.
Newly-built North Square Station House will serve the public on July 15, when travelers can buy tickets, wait and get train there. And the station house will also print out magcard train ticket in its 15 wickets. But travelers have to get their trains through the station house no matter what kind of tickets they hold.
The magcards will be sold only nine manned-wickets and six ticket vending machines, while temporary sales points outside the station house will continue to sell traditional tickets.
The new tickets are light pink or light blue in front and black in back and it can record passengers' information in its magnetic stripe.
"The mag-tickets will be sold on July 15 but passengers cannot get on their train by getting tickets scanned as scanning machines have been installed are not enough assume the work," a source with the station said, adding the station is still testing the machines. So it will continue to use traditional checking method for a while.
But Shenyang North Railway Station and Shenyang Railway Station will begin massive use of automatic scanners and the magtickets as their expansion is progressing. |
