Price tag of the octane 93 gasoline
has been changed with below 7.00
yuan early morning. The National Development and Reform Commission announced price reduction of gasoline and diesel by 420 yuan each ton and 400 yuan each ton. In Shenyang, Sinopec slashed octane 93 gas, most-used gas, by 0.34 yuan to 6.93 yuan from 8.27 yuan, a drop of 0.04 yuan more than expected, with octane 97 gas down to 7.39 yuan from 7.75 yuan. And the Sinopec said their fuelling stations in urban Shenyang sell the mostly-used gas by 6.83 yuan a litre.
It was the fifth time that the NDRC changed fuel price tag and a consecutively third price reduction, rarely in history as the fuel price declined to the lowest level in 2012.
The NDRC raised most popular gas price by 0.24 yuan to 7.48 yuan per litre on February 8; gas and diesel prices were raised by 600 yuan per ton on March 20, when the gas hit pinnacle 7.96 yuan. But it was slashed for three times in straight on May 10, June 10 and July 10, respectively - a reduction totaled 1.03 yuan.
It could be wondered whether there will be further price reduction after the 0.34 yuan cut. But some industry insiders said gas price could be cut in future but within limited extent.
A local insider said it was the first consecutive three-time cut since 2009 when new fuel pricing rules were released and there is narrow room for further price reduction. But the move is naturally carried out when a tipping pointed has been reached. |
