Eyes New China Stores</h2></div><div class="postmeta">October 8, 2007 </div><div class="postcontent"><p>Tiffany & Co. have announced plans for a December 2007 opening of a new store in Tianjin, followed <strong>by a January 2008 store opening in Shenyang.<span id="more-860"></span></strong></p><p>Tiffany currently operates stores in Beijing and Shanghai.</p><p>The approximately 1,400-square-foot Tianjin store will be located in the Friendship Store, a luxury retail center in the heart of the city's cultural and commercial district, where government offices are also located. <strong>The approximately 2,200-square-foot Shenyang store will be located in the Charter Shopping Center, situated in the city's premier shopping area.</strong></p><p>The new stores will offer the jeweler's diamonds in engagement rings; sterling silver and fine jewelry; the signature designs of Paloma Picasso, Jean Schlumberger and Frank Gehry; watches; gifts and accessories.</p><p>"Tianjin and Shenyang are well located, with robust economies, great natural beauty and a wealth of historical treasures," said Darren Chen, Tiffany & Co. group vice president. "These factors account for the cities' growth as major business centers and travel destinations for tourists worldwide, and they define the ideal environment for a TIFFANY & CO. store.
