According to the Pricing Regulatory Department of Shenyang Municipal Government, taxi fares in Shenyang will rise to offset an increase in fuel costs.
<>Under the new guidelines, the basic cab fare in the city will increase from 7 Yuan to 8 Yuan within a single zone (3 kilometers of less) between 6 am to 10 pm. Passengers who need to travel within two zones (3 kilometers to 15.1 kilometers) will see their fare rise one Yuan per 550 meters, with third zones (15.1 kilometers and over) will rise one Yuan per 370 meters. A surcharge for air conditioning will remain as one yuan. The one Yuan air conditioning surcharge will not be charged for passengers who ask no air conditioning.</P>
