5000000th Visitor to the Shenyang Expo

The 46-year-old Li Shoujie from Anshan became the 5000,000th visitor to the Shenyang International Horticulture Exposition when he arrived at the expo at 1.10 pm Saturday with his wife and his daughter.

Li was presented with a stamp album including 112 stamps worth 3000 Yuan, featuring views of Shenyang city and the exposition. On top of that, he was also gave a free ticket to all the performances at the expo.

The expo has received wide acclaim and recognition since its opening on May 1,2006. The number of visitors is expected to reach ten million people. "The 5000000th visitor shows that we are half way towards reaching the target," said an official in charge of the expo.
