<>According to data released by Shenyang Statistics Bureau, Shenyang had a total population of 7 million inhabitants with a total households of 2.34million by the end of June this year.

"At present, the total Shenyang population is growing, the total population end of June, 2006 grew by 0.5% over same period last year." said a person in charge at the Statistics Bureau. </P>
<>The analysis of the population distribution in Shenyang shows that the largest populations live in urban areas. While the most concentrated area is Tiexi New District with a population of over 800 thousand inhabitants, the most scarcely populated area is Xinchengzi area with 290 thousand.</P>
<>The data released by the Statistics Bureau also shows that the male and female populations in Shenyang were 3.51million and 3.49 million, respectively. The male population is 16thousand more that female population.
