Shenyang subway makes rescue drill

After about one minute, the carriages all blacked out; 12 minutes later, another locomotive arrived at the accident site and pushed the broken train into Qigong St Station and the passengers on board were successfully evacuated. Don"t worry! That"s not a real accident but a drill arranged by Shenyang Metro System.

　　The drill has been separated to three parts: driver"s cab and platform of Qigong St Station, the broken train and the rescue train.

　　"Shenyang"s subway will make such a drill once in a month and drivers get familiar with coupling cars. Shenyang subway has a total of 1,868-time such drills when different plans are arranged for different seasons, for example, flood prevention drill in summer and antifreezing in winter. At the end of August, there have been 1,015 times such drills," general director of Shenyang Metro Group Operation Corporation Sun Bo said.
