Over 1300 people, including central and local government officials, foreign representatives, attended the closing ceremony held yesterday.</p><p>Zhang Wenyue, the governor of Liaoning province, extended sincere congratulations upon the success of the exposition. The success has showed the unity and commitment of Shenyang people that prevailed during the exposition, Zhang said at the meeting. The exposition has helped Shenyang enhance international status and further promoted the revitalization of Northeast’s Old Industrial base. </p><p>During the closing ceremony, the Association of International Horticultural Producers presented a special award to Shenyang city government for its great contribution. "Shenyang World Horticulture Exposition is the best in terms of construction speed, construction space, and visitors."
