<p align="left">Getting its name renowned to the whole China for hosting the tournament for top10 football teams, Shenyang Wulihe Stadium has eventually fulfilled its mission after about 20 years. It is going to be exploded and dismantled. Now the work on the external removals is coming near to the end. Everything is in position for the final demolition, which has been scheduled at 3 pm, Feb. 12. </p><p>Wulihe Stadium was built in 1988 with an overall area of 230, 000 square meters and a construction area of 50,000 square meters. It has 52 passageways, 350 seats on the center platform, (for chairpersons and/or masters of ceremony), 615 VIP seats, 90 boxes. The stadium has a capacity of holding over 50,000 people.</p>

The dated stadium, where China got its first ticket to men's World Cup finals after defeating Oman in 2001, will be replaced with shopping centers. A new stadium is scheduled to be built at another site in the city for soccer matches of the upcoming Beijing Olympics.
