Shenyang Taxis to Implement Smoking Ban

Before the Olympics, 17000 taxis are going to implement Smoking Ban in Shenyang to provide a comfortable traveling environment for passengers. <br/>On May 6, some representatives of Shenyang Taxi drivers signed up on the Proposal Letter.&nbsp; Shenyang Transportation Bureau will negotiate with the government to issue documents to implement the Smoking Ban. Shi Qijin, the general director of the Bureau, discussed how to ban smoking in taxi industry with 22 representatives.&nbsp; <br/>The Bureau will stick the logo of Smoking Ban on all the taxis in Shenyang and request the taxi companies supervise their taxis. The taxi drivers who act against the Smoking Ban will be criticized or punished. <br/>Shi said, “They will ask for instructions to the Municipal Government and launch the No-smoking Campaign in the name of government since it is better to restrict the taxi drivers and the passengers.”<br/>
