China 2008 Horse Race Competition Held in Shenyang

The 2008 China horse race competition was held in Sujiatun District, Shenyang on 28, June. This is the first time that Shenyang held such a national horse race competition, and more than 200 athletes together with their coaches took part in the competition. <p>"All the racehorses are purebred and are bought from Australian, Japan and America." said Ren ningning, the vice president of Beijing equestrianism club. He also told the journalist that the most expensive racehorse that he bought was 750,000 RMB and nearly every racehorse was worth 1,000,000 RMB. <br/><br/>All the racehorses were transported by plane instead of train or ship because the horses would become anxious and irritable if the transportation time was too long. It is not allowed to transport racehorses by any private person. Only those special transportation companies can undertake this sort of business. <br/><br/>Ren ningning also introduced that the racehorses were quite fussy about their food. What they usually eat were corn, oat, eggs and sesames. And sometimes the feeders should add some carrots and apples to the racehorses. Each horse coated 30 yuan everyday before the competition, and nearly 50 yuan were needed during the competition. <br/><br/>Many international horsemen and some of the working staff of Hong Kong Jockey Club came to Shenyang to attend this competition. Judge of Beijing Olympic Equestrianism said that holding such a national horse race competition in Shenyang was quite helpful for more and more people to pay close attention to horserace in Liaoning province. And one of the citizens of Shenyang named Meng qingwei said he was excited to watch such a fabulous competition in his hometown and he hoped that Shenyang would continue to hold this sort of national competition in the following years.&nbsp; </p>
