Shenyang International Food Festival to Open On Aug.11

<>China Shenyang International Food Festival will open at 4.00pm on Aug.11 at Wulihe park. The Festival is a full week of fun and good food along bank of Hun river! It brings together exhibitors of foods from across the country and internationally, providing an opportunity to explore a wide variety of delicious, healthy foods.</P>
<>Festival Highlights:</P>
<>Show of “Man Han Quan Xi”: To give prominence to the Qing culture of Shenyang, the organizing committee for the festival has decided to exhibit “Man Han Quan Xi”, which is a full, formal banquet combining Manchurian and Chinese delicacies. It has been regarded as the imperial food. Only the emperor’s relatives and high ranking officials can have the privilege to eat. To prepare for this show, a dragon chair has been customized in Beijing at the cost of 30thousand Yuan (the Emperor's chair was called the dragon chair) and twenty-eight set of dishwares have been bought from Jianxi province. The 40-minute show will be one of the most enjoyable moment for every visitor.</P>
<>Line-up of Foreign chefs: Foreign chefs from 15 countries including Thailand, Singapore, Brazil, the Untied States, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, Austria and Malaysia will gather at the exhibiton. Visitors will be able to taste different and exotic dishes from those countries each day from 10am to 8:30pm.

Folk Art Performances: A wide range of performances including Chinese and foreign folk singing and dancing, acrobatics, magic and tea arts will be given to audiences during the festival.</P>
<>Entrance Ticket Price: 3 Yuan.

*Free rides to the festival will be offered at Liaoning Industial Exhibition Square (Gong Ye Zhan Lan Guan Guang Chang), Shenyang Municipal Government Square (Shi Zheng Fu Guang Chang) at 9:50 am to 9pm during the event. </P>
