The hotel market in Shenyang has space for more, said Lu Jinxiu, the head of market planning and construction department of Shenyang commercial bureau. In Shanghai, the opening of new luxury hotels has attracted more and more commercial activities, though there were not many luxury hotels a few years ago. Shenyang is in the very same situation with Shanghai. More luxury hotels could also bring more commercial activities to Shenyang.</P>
<>There are five 5-star hotels right now in Shenyang,  including Marriott, Sheraton Lido, Holiday Inn, Green Land Forest Park and Sunrise. Another two 5-star hotels are under approval and construction respectively. They are Kempinski and Towercrest. According to “Shenyang construction and development planning of commercial outlets”, five planned 5-star hotels projects are seeking investment now.</P>
<>However, some experts suggest that 5 star hotels should not be extended blindly since Shenyang is not a tourist city. The commercial and business activities in Shenyang are also limited comparing to Shanghai, Beijing.
