At 7 o’clock tomorrow morning, Wu’ai Bridge, which has been blocked for 55 days, will open to traffic after reconstruction. The open time is five days earlier than the planned schedule and creating a new record on Shenyang’s bridge construction history.<br/> Wu’ai Bridge is located on Wu’ai Street, across the South Canal. The bridge was built in 1965 and broadened in 1993. In the year of 2007, Shenyang City Construction Bureau found the bridge in danger after careful security inspection and decided to reconstruct it. The new Wu’ai Bridge is 38-meter long, 33-meter wide with eight lanes and 70-ton maximum load capacity. With the open of Wu’ai Bridge tomorrow, the former seven bus routes passing the bridge will be recovered. |
