Sweden-based furniture retailer IKEA plans to bring its China store total to 10 in 2010 by opening a second Shanghai store covering 47,000 square meters in the city's Pudong district and its first store in Shenyang, Liaoning province, reports Oriental Morning Post quoting IKEA China vice president Gillian Drakeford. The company's Shanghai sales revenue dropped sharply in October 2008 due to the global financial crisis, said Drakeford. IKEA China's current prices are 60% lower than ten years ago, said the report.
|
