Shenyang Sees First Air Ambulance

A helicopter came back from trial flight and landed safely yesterday morning at the parking apron of Shengjing hospital, the second affiliated hospital of China Medical University. It means Shenyang residents will soon be able to see air ambulance flying in skies.
<>   Air ambulances are specially equipped aircraft designed for relocating patients from one facility to another with continuous medical monitoring to ensure their safety. In comparison with ambulance car service, the air ambulance is more advanced way of transferring patients. It is able to provide swift medical treatment to all areas in the first few vital minutes of an emergency.  
　　
"The hospital will ask approval from the related government department and purchase aircraft if patients need such air ambulance service." said a source with Shengjing hospital. "The air ambulance service within 200 kilometers will cost about 5000Yuan."</P>
