Shenyang to Hold Ten Large Events This Year

<>According to Shenyang Statistics Bureau, the planned major events for this year are listed as below:</P>
<>Shenyang World Horticulture Exposition ( April 30---October 31)
The World Horticulture Exposition is expected to attract 10million person-times visitors to Shenyang. The city will take full advantage of the exposition to hold a series of cultural and business activities, making the exposition a success.</P>
<>The fifth Shenyang Korea Week (May 21 to May 27)
The Korea week will make breakthrough this year to a higher level both in scale and efficiency. The organization committee for “the Korea Week” will invite more Korean cities and Chinese cities to take part in the event, making “the Korea Week” a large cultural exchange event between China and South Korea.</P>
<>The fifth China International Equipment Manufacturing Exposition ( August 29 to September 2)
Some 3000 exhibitors will come to present their activity and innovations, 40% among them will be from abroad.

International Tourism Festival ( September)
The participated cities of the event will be expanded to the major cities and enterprises in China’s Northeast and foreign cities which established friendly relationships with Shenyang. The Festival will focus on activities including floral float parade and tourism products exhibition.</P>
<>The 14th world Productivity Congress (October 8 to October 10)
The World Productivity Congress is the biennial event of the World Confederation of Productivity Science. This Highly regarded extravaganza will bring together a distinguished group of business leaders, industrialists, scholars, politicians, administrators and productivity experts from around the globe, and from all sectors of industry, commerce and public service, to focus on the latest theories, innovations and best practices to improve business performance.</P>
<>The 14th World Productivity Congress is an international open events, and will be held in Shenyang on October 8-10,2006. The theme of the Congress is Pursuing Scientific and Sustainable Growth in Productivity and Performance. </P>
<>International Agricultural Exposition (date to be decided )
The purpose of the exposition is to promote agriculture in Shenyang to the world.</P>
<>Furthermore, Shenyang will hold several international friendly activities this year and invite more foreign enterprises to the city through foreign embassies for information exchange and cooperation. </P>
