14th WPC to be Held in Shenyang

<>The 14th World Productivity Congress (WPC) will be held in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province in October, the organizing committee announced on Thursday. </P>
<>Normally a biennial event, the WPC of the World Confederation of Productivity Science (WCPS) has not been held since 2001. </P>
<>Thanks to the successful hosting of the 12th WPC and the high-speed growth of Chinese productivity, the leaders of WCPS gave the honor of hosting the 14th WPC to China again, said John Heap, representative of WCPS at Thursday's press conference. </P>
<>The 14th WPC, with the theme of Pursuing Scientific and Sustainable Growth in Productivity and Performance, will offer a communication platform for the participants, including government officials, experts, well-known entrepreneurs and CEOs of the world's top 500 companies. </P>
<>Four sub-forums will be held to highlight the theme, namely, globalization and development of productivity, sustainable development and innovation of science and technology, development of innovative enterprises, opening-up drive and reform of China and regional economy. </P>
<>During the congress, Liaoning Province will hold an investment promotion conference in an effort to revitalize the Old Northeast Industrial Base. The annual release of the top 10 Chinese brands onto the global market for 2006 will also be held. </P>
