<p>The construction of 22 stations along the Shenyang Subway Line 1 has all started, and 11 stations finished the main body structure, according to today's Xinhuanet.</p><p>It is predicted that 90 percent of Line 1 construction will be finished by the year's end, including 96 percent of the tunnels, and it is expected to undergo trial operations in the middle of December 2009.</p><p>Line 1 has a length of 22.2 kilometers, and the east-west extension line 1 is 5.8 kilometers.</p><p>During March of this year, the main structure of the Olympic Center Station of Line 2 was completed, and Line 2 is expected to be completed in 2011.</p><p>The construction of Line 1, Extension Line 1 and Line 2 started in November 2005, and the planned rail network in Shenyang is 182.5 kilometers.</p><p>Shenyang City, Northeast China's Liaoning Province, is the 7th city to see subway construction in China.</p><p><br/>(chinadaily.com.cn)<br/></p> |
